1.  Why do I get two bills when I have an x-ray?

Our radiologists are contracted with local hospitals and clinics to read and interpret x-rays taken while you visit their facilities.

Those facilities will send you an invoice for the technologist's time and the use of any materials and equipment for your x-ray.

Shelby Radiological Associates, PA will bill you only for the doctor's interpretation of those x-rays.

2.  Will you file my insurance?

Yes! Shelby Radiological Associates is happy to file any and all insurance.

3.  How do I know if you have filed my insurance?

Please check the first statement you receive from our office. We will tell you if we have filed your insurance, the carrier, and

whether we expect the check to be mailed to your home or our office.

4.  What do I do if you haven't filed my insurance?

Please gather your insurance information, i.e., mailing address, ID number, group number, and any other information you

feel we may need and call us immediately.

5.  Why don't you already have my insurance information?

As our information comes directly from the facility at which you had your x-rays, it is essential that the information

be given during your visit. Remember to take your ID cards with you and ask the personnel to make copies for the

hospital records.

6.  I never received my statements from your office, why not?

This is a very hard question to answer. Our information originally comes from the facility at which you had your x-rays.

Please remember to ask  the personnel to update your records with current address and phone number during your visit.

On mailing our statements we use a service offered by the U.S. Post Office that tracks correct mailing addresses. We make

every possible effort to obtain correct mailing information for our patients, but on occasion someone does "fall through the

cracks". For this we have found no true explanation, but offer our most humble apologies.

7.  Can I pay my bill online?

Currently the option to pay online is not offered, however, we are very happy to announce we are working on the option and it will be

available.  Keep an eye on our home page for the beginning dates.

8.  Do you accept credit cards?

We are happy to accept MasterCard, Visa & Discover.
